Cusco, Full of Colonial churches, monasteries and convents and extensive precolumbian ruins which at night comes alive with bars and restuarants is said to be the most beautiful city in South America, come and see for yourself on this packed 4 day adventure to the centre of the Inca Empire.
Day 1. On arrival into Cusco you will be met and transfered to your hotel. In the afternoon we take a city tour of this wonderful Inca city, we will visit Santa Domingo Church which sits on top of the ruins of Korikancha, the temple of the sun, also within the city we visit the Catedral after which we travel to the arechaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay just a short drive outside the city.

Day 2. In the morning we leave Cusco around 9am and travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way to the Valley we visit the artisan fair at Corroa and on route to Pisac we stop at Taray for some fabulous photo opportunities and then onto the town of Pisac where we explore the fabulous hillside Inca Fortress and later go back down to the township of Pisacto visit the popular artisan fair. Later, we will cross the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the township of Urubamba where a typical lunch can be enjoyed. After lunch we travel further into the valley to the fortress town of Ollantaytambo. The ruins at Ollantaytambo on which the present day town is based is clearly seen as a fine example of Inca blocks which are almost entirely intact. On the way back to Cusco we visit the small but impress ruins of Chinchero.

Day 3. This morning board the train to the Inca City of Machu Picchu. On the journey we pass through the Sacred Valley of the Inca´s passing beautiful scenery along the way. Arriving mid morning into the town of Aguas Calientes we board a bus for the 30 minute ride up to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is a complete Inca city. For centuries it was buried in the jungle but in 1911 American Hiram Bingham stumbled upon the ruins. On your guided tour you will see staircases, terraces, temples, palaces, towers and fountains, with a full explanation of these ruins. In the afternoon you will come back down to Aguas Calientes and board the train back through the Sacred Valley to Cusco arriving early evening.
